Back in the States at ACTE in Charlotte NC
Well I hope everyone's Thanksgiving weekend was as enjoyable as mine! I fly to the Dominican Republic last Thursday and spent an extended weekend with my soon to be family. We all had a blast, weather was perfect, somehow there were no big fights even with 28 people in a group... I don't care how close a family or group of friends are, to get cooperation out of a group that big in such close quarters for 6 days is a blessing!!! Anyhow, I now have one of the worst cases of "racoon eyes" to date, definately worth it though. Then I flew home... and no more 80-90 degree sun and lounging, more like 40-50 degrees and work :/ Good thing I love what I'm doing!
I am currently in downtown Charlotte at the Charlote Convention Center, and will be untill sometime Saturday. I was able to spend yesterday cleaning and setting up the rig and placing the bikes and one of Doug Herbert's Top Fuel cars. ((Doug - thankyou by the way and it's a wonderfull thing that you are doing with the B.R.A.K.E.S. (www.putonthebrakes.com) program. For those of you who are unaware, and even those of you who are, this is a charity organization for safe driving Doug founded after losing his two sons in a tragic accident.))
This morning was the official opening of the ACTE conference. There was a very motivating and informative opening session. CTE and ACTE are very important and helpfull organizations to the Education System. I can only hope to one day be in a position to be more involved and contribute even a fraction of what some members are doing. Well thats about it, hope everyone is having a great week!
