The web based validation process is non-proctored and the questions are randomly generated from a question pool. The process is 30-45 minutes in length and written in an ASE format. Snap-on updates the questions and course material as product software and hardware enhancements are made. Upon successfully completion with a score of 70% or higher you will receive a special gift and a certificate recognizing you as one of the top 10% users in the industry of our product with an efficiency of 90-100%. This will also register you for special Snap-on Certified Technician offers.

a. Select "Sign Up" from upper left section of upper blue horizontal bar under the Snap-on logo.
b. Fill in all the requested fields.

i. The email address will be used regularly to send critical testing information to the user. Please make sure that this email account is checked on a regular basis.
ii. The address is used to send the Snap-on Certified Technician materials when the user successfully passes an exam.

d. Select the "Sign Me Up" button.
e. You may be asked to select another username if the one you have chosen is already in use.
f. A "Congratulations" message will appear if the information has been accepted.
g. A "Welcome to Snap-on Testing Center!" email message will be sent to the email address on file. Included in this email will be a link to the Student Login site. The selected username and password will also be shown.

a. Use the supplied URL link in the received email, or go to: http://snapon.protraining.com/
b. Enter the supplied Username and Password.
c. Select Login.

e. The available exam choices will be displayed.
f. Select "Request This Exam" for the desired exam.

g. A confirmation message will be displayed.
h. Within one business day you should receive either a Request Approved or a Request Denied email confirmation sent to the valid email address on record.

i. NOTE: A Request Denied will be sent if you have not been approved to take the selected exam. Please either see your instructor, or select "Support" in the upper left corner of the window, then select "Submit a New Request" if you have any questions.
